Food Guide & Recommended Local Hawker Centres

HAWKER CENTRES are complexes containing numerous food stalls adjoining wet markets locals frequent for meals and sundries. Located in public housing estates, they serve as communal hubs for residents. Singapore has over 110 with more in the works.

Our hawker culture is a significant part of Singapore's identity and was inscribed on the UNESCO Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity in 2020. Our specific genre of local cuisine evolved through decades of multi-racial harmony.
